چکیده
AKE: acrokeratoelastoidosis INTRODUCTION Acrokeratoelastoidosis (AKE), is a rare keratoderma characterized by small, round, skin-colored papules on the palms and soles. It was first described in 1952 by Brazilian dermatologist Oswaldo Costa and commonly presents before the age of 20. The primary etiology is unknown, and both autosomal dominant and sporadic forms have been reported in the dermatology literature. We present the case of an immunosuppressed patient who subsequently had papules on the hands, originally diagnosed as verruca palmoplantaris, that were later found to be consistent with AKE.
